Applicants who qualified in preliminary exam they are forward to

Selection
Process:
· Selection will be based on the prelims, mains and interview.
· Prelims examination will be organized for 450 marks.
·
In that, Paper-I is for 150 and paper-II for 300 marks. Both the
paper-I and paper-II are objective type papers.

· The Exam is of Objective type
· It consists of Multiple Choice Questions.
· Question paper comprises of 2 papers.
· Duration of each paper is 2 Hours.
· Paper 1 consists of General knowledge for 150 marks
· Paper 2 consists of Law subject for 300 marks
· There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
For Preliminary
Exam:
Paper No.1:
General Knowledge:
This paper will be of 150 marks and 2 hours duration.
This paper may include questions based on topics relating to-
-History of India Indian
Culture,
-Geography of India,
-Indian Polity,
-Current National Issues and
-Topics of Social relevance,
-India and the world,
-Indian Economy,
-International Affairs and Institutions and development in the
field of Science and Technology,
-Communications and Space.
The nature and standards of questions in this paper will be such
that a well educated person will be able to answer them without any specialized
study.
Paper No.2: Law:
This paper will be of 300 marks and 2 hours duration.
This paper will include day to day happenings around India and the world, particularly in Legal spheres, Acts and Laws.

(ii) International Organizations
(iii) Current International Affairs
(iv) Indian Constitution
(v) Transfer of Property Act
(vi) Indian Evidence Act
(vii) Indian Penal Code
(viii) Civil Procedure Code
(ix) Criminal Procedure Code
(x) Law of Contract
For Main Exam:
Paper No.1: General Knowledge:
This paper will be of 200 marks.
This paper may include questions based on topics relating to-
-History of India Indian
Culture,
-Geography of India,
-Indian Polity,
-Current National Issues and
-Topics of Social relevance,
-India and the world,
-Indian Economy,
-International Affairs and Institutions and development in the
field of Science and Technology,
-Communications and Space.
The nature and standards of questions in this paper will be such
that a well educated person will be able to answer them without any specialized
study.
This paper will be of 200 marks.
It shall comprise four questions as specified below:-
(i) Essay to be written in English -60 marks
(ii) English Précis writing -60 marks
(iii) Translation of passage from Hindi to English -40 marks
(iv) Translation of passage from English to Hindi -40 marks
Paper No.3: Law-I (Substantive Law):
The question set will be restricted to the field covered by-
·
The law of contracts,
·
the law of Partnership,
·
the law concerning easements and torts, the Law relating to
transfer of property including the principles of equity, specifically
applicable thereto,
·
the principal of Equity with special reference to the Law of
trust and specific relief,
·
Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law,
·
Constitutional Law.
·
There shall be questions
of 50 marks in relation to Constitutional Law alone.
Paper No.4: Law II (Procedure and Evidence):
Questions set will be restricted to the field covered by-
·
the law of evidence,
·
the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure,
including the principles of pleading.
·
The questions
set will relate mainly to practical matters such as the framing of charges and
issues the methods of dealing with the evidence of witnesses the writing of
judgment and the conduct of cases generally but will not be restricted to them.
Paper No.5: Law III (Penal, Revenue and Local Laws):
·
A question set be consists of Indian Penal Code,
·
the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act 1951,
·
Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and
Eviction) Act 1972.
·
U.P. Municipalities Act,
·
U.P. Panchayat Raj Act,
·
U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act,
·
U.P. Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with
rules framed under the aforesaid Acts.
