•It is better not to switch off a fluorescent
light, if you are going to switch on it again within a span of 1 hour because each time you do so, a high voltage is needed to switch on these lights, thus shortening the lifespan of the fluorescent light.


•Most of us love apples but have you
thought why does a cut apple turns brown in colour ? It is just because
when exposed to air, due to the oxidation process which goes on inside the
apple as it comes in contact with the air containing oxygen. This brown colour
is actually the rust. Apples are a rich source of iron, which when exposed to air reacts with oxygen forming iron oxides, Apples skin protects it from this process.


•All living beings except for plants face the condition of fever at least
once in their life time, but
is this fever a disease ?



•Why are raindrops spheri-
cal in shape ?
-Raindrops take up the spherical shape due to the surface tension of water which is caused due to the tendency of water molecules to stick together. The spherical shape is having the least possible surface
area due to which it can resist any of the external force in the atmosphere.
