Once there was a monkey named Sallu. He had been bought up by a sailor. He was a spoilt monkey and would always praise himself and take credit of others work. One day the sailors went for a voyage to Australia from Portugal. Sallu went with his master. It was a thundering night and the sea was very unstable. Huge waves were swaying the ship left and right. Sallu started to shiver out of fear. He left his master alone and took a safe corner for himself. Suddenly lightning struck the ship and the ship started to sink. Sallu's master searched for sallu to save him but Sallu was too busy saving his own life. A huge wave hit the ship and the ship turned upside down. Sallu was buried under a heap of ship leftover and was gasping for breath. Just then a dolphin came by and pulled Sallu out from the debris and took him to the surface of water. The dolphin was well aquainted with the sea and took Sallu to a nearby island. As they reached the island dolphin asked Sallu are you okay? Sallu never used to acknowledge others for their help. Instead he used to take the credit of the whole scene. He rudely replied I am the one who saved you, I should be the
one asking you that. Are you okay?" The dolphin was upset with such behavior.
She said "but I saved you from your ship and brought you to this island. Sallu
replied "Hey! This island is mine and I am the king of this island. I'm the one
who bought you here. This time the dolphin was really angry. So she said "I'm
sorry your majesty, but you surely are the king of this island as you are the only
one who is going to live here. Saying this she swam away from that island.
Sallu cursed himself for his foolish and arrogant behavior and was stranded
in that island forever.
Moral- Har jagah akad sahi nahi hota.
